Another Night by Real McCoy has the honor of being one of the very first CDs I ever owned. Actually, the copy I have now is the second copy - the first got eaten by my cheap-and-nasty CD player not long after I received it. Some might perhaps say that the player was trying to tell me something. I however, would beg to differ for the most part. In retrospect, it's a lot more cheesier now than what it was back then - a good dance pop album with a good number of hits to boot - but then again, the same could be said about a lot of 90's dance pop music, particularly that of the later half of the decade. That being said, the best stuff on here is what got the airtime - everything else is either OK, or "meh." "Another Night", "Runaway", "Love & Devotion", "Automatic Lover" are the best known and subsequently, the best songs on the album. "Operator" and "I Want You" are both an acquired taste. In conclusion - it was a great album in it's heyday, but a bit cheesy for my likes nowadays. Check it out if you're a stickler for nineties nostalgia. B+
